Blood donations typically slack off in the summer, but the need for donors
doesn’t – all the more reason to take part in a community blood drive on Sunday, August 24th at the Beverly Hills Farmer’s Market.
The drive will feature Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s new state-of-the-art bloodmobile, which will be located at the 9300 block of Civic Center Drive from 9 am to 1 pm. Complimentary refreshments and “Pint for a Pint” ice cream coupons will be provided to those who donate.
Donors must be at least 17 years old and have a photo ID to be eligible to donate. Walk-ins are accepted, but reservations are highly recommended. To schedule an appointment, call (310) 614-4845. For more information on hosting your own community blood drive, call Joyce Valdez at (310) 614-4845.
