It was different being at church on Sunday and seeing most of the men in a coat and tie at Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

  The minister was in a coat and tie…Another reason for me to cancel North Carolina as a possible future homestead.

  Yet the “potluck” entitled “Covered Dish Dinner on the Grounds” in NC was off the charts.

  Update on the decapitated deer by the train tracks mentioned a few days ago; Rodan was enjoying it as an uncovered dish.

  To my old friends from mission days, to the “Royal Order of Cavachos”, take note: They don’t believe in gaskets out here. Haven’t seen one; too afraid to ask why.

  Virginia comes across slightly less green, and whole lot less swampy than the Carolinas.
