Another great player that geography robbed of the spotlight. Like so many players raised within the boundaries of El Monte American, the L-Train took the field at Pioneer Park with a load of talent around him.
  At any other park during the 2001-2002 seasons Larini's Yankees would have won a title, instead they served as bridesmaids to the Orioles and the Angels. He would have been EMA's top pitcher if not for Buckethead Juarez. He would have been the top slugger if not for Buckethead. He was the league's best glove man.

Jordan Halladay

Jordan Halladay's induction into the Mid-Valley Hall of Fame is the result of one incredible season. Coming into 2003 he was another face in the crowd at Millham Field. The strong stoppers from the season before had all graduated and ace status was up for grabs, Halladay grabbed it.
  The youngest of four Halladay brothers (Butch, Josh, & Jake) to play at TCN, Jordan put together a season for the ages. Two no-hitters (against the Tigers & Cubs), two District 18 playoff wins and more than ten contests with double digit strikeouts. He beat the TCA champion Tigers, 2-1, with 13 K's for the Temple City championship. During one stretch of the season he recorded 61 strikeouts in just 26 2/3...
