| Married couples, families, even roommates learn to "dance" around personalities and routines. I've been married, coming up May 20, a total of 36 years. As a couple, the count is longer. We dated for five years before we signed the agreement to belong to each other. Terry and I have "danced" around moods, irritations, and changes of circumstances. We know what drives each of us crazy and when to ask a special favor. Terry learned early on that singing in the shower, at the top of his lungs, at 6 a.m. will make for a very unhappy morning if I'm still sleeping. If I'm awake, he can sing all he wants, because I usually don't start breathing until 9 am. I learned that if Terry is very angry, to leave him alone until the edge has worn off.
